The Ray-Ban Meta Zena (Gen 3) looks like a classic pair of Ray-Bans, but it has a camera, open-ear speakers and Meta AI built in. Take photos and video, play music, take calls and translate conversations hands-free, without reaching for your phone. Gen 3 brings longer battery life, clearer calls and a new action button.
Zena is new for Gen 3. It's a soft cat-eye shape with a slightly smaller fit, so it sits nicely on narrower faces.
Lens options: Transitions lenses are clear indoors and darken outside, so one pair works day and night; Polarised lenses cut glare off water, roads and car bonnets; Clear (Blue-Violet Light Filter) is a good everyday clear lens for screens and indoors.
Pick your colour and lens above, then choose your size. Zena comes in one size, 49 (49mm lens, 22mm bridge). Not sure which suits you? Try them on at any Eye Concepts store.
What's new in Gen 3
-
Longer battery: up to 9 hours on a single charge, an hour more than Gen 2. The charging case gives you up to 50 more hours on the go.
-
Clearer calls and voice: a new 6-microphone array cuts more than 90% of background noise, even on windy or busy streets.
-
Landscape capture: shoot photos and video in portrait or landscape.
-
New action button: set it up to jump straight into Meta AI or your favourite shortcut.
-
Better fit: slimmer temples, adjustable temple tips and a smaller camera opening.
-
Dolby Atmos video: spatial sound recording with your videos is coming in a software update.
What it can do
- Take photos and video hands-free with the 12MP ultra-wide camera. Just say "Hey Meta, take a photo" or press the capture button.
- Listen to music, podcasts and audiobooks through open-ear speakers, so you still hear what's going on around you.
- Take calls and send messages without getting your phone out.
- Ask Meta AI about what you're looking at, get help translating a sign or menu, or set reminders.
- A capture LED lights up whenever you're recording, so people around you know.
